Smart VILLAGES
Lately there has also been a lot of talk about so-called Smart Village or Smart villages. They are rural spaces that try to think about services such as health, social services, education, energy, transport, retail - can be improved and made more sustainable by implementing Information Technology tools and Communication (ICT) and community-led actions and projects (ENRD, 2020). This concept should not be confused with that of Smart Cities, or that of MIL Cities, given that it focuses on non-urban spaces.
